Hi there! I am a 6th form student, and for my ICT coursework project I am going to be re-building the school intranet, to make it useful for everyone. However, I need your help. Below is a short questionnaire I would very much appreciate if you spent a few moments to fill out. This would help me with my coursework project and help me build a useful intranet everyone can benefit from.

What is the school intranet? An 'intranet' (notice the difference between 'intranet' and 'internet') is like a standard website on the internet you may visit, however, an intranet is only accessible on a network (like we have in school). The intranet cannot be accessed by any computer on the internet, you can only access the school intranet on the school network (basically only on computers in school).

The school had an intranet before the summer holidays, but a new one is needed. But what does the intranet actually do? Well, its a little like a website. It would contain information, research material, notices, homework that has been set etc. If you wanted to find out about Albert Einstein (a famous physicist) you could look at the science departments section of the intranet to see if there is any information on there. If your music teacher wanted you to listen to a piece of music before your next music lesson, your music teacher could put it onto the music departments section of the intranet, where you could then listen to the music on the school computer. Maybe you have ideas about what the intranet could be used for? Let me know by filling out the questionnaire below!
